The Cape Outdoor Eco Adventure and Travel Expo, in association with the Cape Argus and the V & A Waterfront, will this year make a dramatic move to the exciting new Lookout / Granger Bay exhibition space in the V&A Waterfront.
The 16th Cape Outdoor Expo will take place from Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th of October, 2011.
“The Lookout is the ultimate distinctive, contemporary setting with 360° views of the city’s most spectacular sights – including the Atlantic Ocean, Table Mountain and Robben Island,” said the event’s organiser, Shirley Shearer.
She said that the new site will offer 1,200 square meters of prime, air conditioned indoor space as well as a further 1,000 square meters of non-prime indoor space, and 10,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area. Exhibitors will include suppliers of outdoor products, vehicles, camping equipment, trailers, tents, boats, jet skis, bikes, accessories, clothing, family activities, local and over-border travel, and more.
“There’ll be food markets and microbreweries and wine tastings, and, of course, TV screens so that we can all watch the semi-finals of the rugby,” said Ms. Shearer.
The show will be open on Friday from 10h00 to 18h00, Saturday from 09h00 to 18h00 and Sunday from 09h00 to 17h30; entry will cost R 50 for adults of 17 years and older; R15 for children from 7 to 16 years, R25 for pensioners in possession of a valid pensioner’s card or ID, and R25 for students in possession of a valid student card. Children under 7 will enter for free during the entire exhibition, and disabled people and pensioners will be offered free entrance on the Friday. Socialised dogs on leads will also be welcome.
