E-Tourism Africa Summit – Bringing the Online Tourism World to Cape Town

Cape Town will be hosting this year’s 3rd annual E Tourism Africa Summit. The world class, two-day Online Tourism Conference and Travel Technology Exhibition, organized by E Tourism Frontiers, will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on the 25th and 26th of October, this year.

Damian Cook, the CEO and Founder of E Tourism Frontiers, said this year’s summit will be bigger and better than ever. “We are very excited to be hosting this year’s E Tourism Africa Summit in Cape Town, we have a great line up of international speakers including Trip Advisor, Expedia, WAYN.com and we will be showcasing some exciting new technology including new tourism focused apps for mobiles and we will also show how MPESA – the newly launched mobile payment scheme, can help revolutionize tourism, especially for smaller players.

Delegates are expected to come from all over Africa to attend the summit and last year’s event was sold out. Social Media will be a big focus with presentations on South Africa post world cup, what social media campaigns were successful and how social media data can be leveraged for new campaigns in the future.  Other sessions within the summit line up will include presentations on website development, e-commerce, online reservations and booking, distribution channels, multimedia and video and mobile marketing.
