I am very resourceful and a hard worker. I would also describe myself as enthusiastic, especially when faced with a challenge. In addition, my ability to prioritize allows me to focus on needed attention whether one or several different tasks are involved. In a teamed environment, I am a responsible and motivated team player, with high communication skills.

Although my education is in the field of computer science, I have been working in tourism industry for over six years and attained immense growth through the experience. I have travelled extensively on behalf of my organization, including the USA, UK, France, Netherlands, Italy, South Africa, and Kenya. Also, I am trilingual in that I speak, write and read fluent English, French, and Amharic.

My job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Drawing up package programs and pricing them.
  • Corresponding with foreign tour operators and attending to the needs of local tour requests and walk-in clients
  • Presenting invoice and cost-breakdown to the Finance Department
  • Working on tour manuals, flyers, and other promotional activities of the company
  • Meet with clients to receive feedback after service is rendered
  • Follow up on service rendered
  • Confirm to the allocation of guides, drivers and cooks
  • Collecting clients’ feedback after sales, attending to questionnaires and presenting them for discussion
  • Gather information on hotel rates, airfares and update the department
  • Making hotel and flight reservations

If it is in the tourism business, I would be happy to do it, but if it is anything else, I will be willing to do all that is necessary to excel in the field of work. As I am a fast learner, I am sure I will be able to complete any challenge with full competency.
